Sheena Rose is a friend of mine who happens to be an international artist. I've wanted to do a shoot with her for a while now, especially since she did some shoots with other photographers whose work I like. Sheena had an image in her head that she wanted to get out. One of her going into the sea with pink roses. When we tried it, the sea was rougher than we expected and it was making it difficult to get the images we wanted. We still managed to get some gems. And Sheena loves them.
Afterwards, we headed over to the Hot Pot. A beach just behind a power station where the hot water from the turbines is pumped out. Sheena stood in the middle of the crowded beach, posing in her distinctive style. I expected people to act all weird about being included in any shots but some actually called out asking me to take a picture of them. We did a lot more photos in this area with Sheena dancing, jumping, walking and wading into the water. Here are my favourites.
